Egypt is not a member of the Apostille Convention and all documents must be legalized (authenticated) by the Egyptian Embassy in Washington, D.C.

Egyptian Cultural & Educational Bureau in Washington, D.C.

 

Authentication Academic Documents: All academic documents must be certified by the Egyptian Cultural & Educational Bureau in Washington, D.C. (ECEB) College transcripts and diplomas, school reports (grades 1-12), high school diplomas, and university documents have to be issued by accredited universities.

Attendance and high schools have to be recognized by the department of education attendance-based study programs.

Notarization and US Department of State authentication are not required for authenticating the documents from ECEB.
