All Academic Certificates must first be certified by the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau (ECEB) in WDC before being legalized at the Egyptian Embassy. In order to be legalized by the ECEB, these documents must first be:
- From an Accredited US University/College/Grade School Public or Private
- The study program is attendance-based (not online, distance learning or home schooling)
- Documents must be Original (not a copy)
- Transcript must be submitted to ECEB in a University-Sealed envelope and must have all the valid university official stamps, signatures & security marks. Garde School Report Cards must also have valid signatures and official school “raised” seal.
- University/College Degree must come with official transcript & High School Diploma must satisfy the graduation requirements of the Board of Education. (Certificates of completion and other types of Certificates will not be certified)
Notes: An Enrollment Letter can only be certified if it has valid signatures & university “raised” seal, it must also be accompanied with a valid transcript.
When these steps are complete, the Academic Certificate is ready for legalization by the ECEB.
- The document is received by Roca Authentications LLC in WDC.
- The ECEB certifies the document.
- A public notary notarizes the document.
- The secretary of the state certifies the document.
- The US Department of State (USDOS) in WDC authenticates document
- The Egyptian Consulate authenticates the document.
ECEB certification fee is $30 each document and an additional Roca Service fee of $30.
Note: If you would like your Transcript certified as well, it’s an additional $30 fee. A ECEB Certification will add another week to the turnaround time.
